ROADWAY PROJECT MANAGER | INDIANAPOLIS, IN

Typical Tasks

  • Management of Roadway projects including coordination with client, prime and sub consultant.
  • Design or manage staff for the design of Roadway projects including horizontal alignment, vertical alignment, drainage design, ditch profile, guardrail calculations and super elevation diagrams
  • Supervise/Design and prepare plans for small structure projects
  • Assist in preparing CAD drawings using GEOPAK, INROADS and MICROSTATION software
  • Supervise staff developing construction plans from engineering design calculations.
  • Supervise or perform quantity calculations and cost estimate for projects
  • Supervise/ Design and prepare erosion control plans
  • Supervise/Design and prepare plans for Roundabouts
  • Supervise/ Prepare plans for maintenance of traffic of roadway projects
  • Attend various meetings such as field check, public information, hearing and pre-construction

Experience Required

  • BSCE and PE License with minimum 8 years of experience in roadway design
  • Licensed PE in Indiana and/or Ohio
  • Experience preparing roadway plans for DOT projects
  • Experience with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD
  • Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills
  • A valid driver’s license is required

      Typical Tasks

      • Design of Roadway projects including horizontal alignment, vertical alignment, drainage design, ditch profile, guardrail calculations and super elevation diagrams
      • Design and prepare plans for small structure projects
      • Assist in preparing CAD drawings using GEOPAK, INROADS and MICROSTATION software
      • Assist in developing construction plans from engineering design calculations.

      Experience Required

      • BSCE, 4 years of experience in roadway design
      • Licensed PE in Indiana or Ohio; or ability to obtain Indiana or Ohio PE within 6 months of hire
      • Experience preparing roadway plans for DOT projects
      • Experience with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD
      • Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills
      • A valid driver’s license is required

        CONSTRUCTION INSPECTOR | INDIANAPOLIS, IN

        Typical Tasks

        • Frequent communications with project designer and Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT), LPA or local design plans, review of work plans, constructability reviews and site inspections during construction.
        • Be the liaison between client/designer and Department of Construction Services
        • Organization with managing many tasks simultaneously

        Experience Required

        • A minimum of 2 years continuous experience in the inspection of federally and locally funded transportation projects
        • Completion of INDOT Certified Technician Program
        • INDOT Materials Testing Certifications
        • SiteManager Training (preferred)
        • Knowledge of INDOT standards and procedures
        • Excellent communication skills

        Travel Required

        • 20% office coordination between phone and emails and 80% travel to do field checks
