HUMAN RESOURCES COORDINATOR | INDIANAPOLIS, IN

Description

Human resources coordinators will oversee issues related to employment, compensation, labor negotiations, and employee relations. Work will be focused on improving HR policies, processes, and practices and recommending changes to HR management. To ensure efficient operations, HR coordinator will perform a substantial amount of research, data analysis, and prepare reports related to employee productivity. SJCA will offer continuing education and seminar training for the development of the HR coordinator.

Typical Tasks

  • Facilitating human resources processes
  • Administering employee health and welfare plans
  • Acting as a liaison between employees and insurance providers
  • Resolving benefits-related problems
  • Ensuring the effective utilization of plans related to HR programs and services
  • Administering health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes, and terminations
  • Answering employee requests and questions
  • Assisting with new employee hiring processes
  • Reconciling benefits statements
  • Conducting audits of payroll, benefits, and other HR programs, and recommending corrective actions
  • Assisting with the performance review and termination processes
  • Assisting with the recruitment and interview processes
  • Analyze training needs, develop training curriculum and deliver training as related to department needs and Human Resource Development

Experience Required

  • Bachelors Degree in Human Resources OR Human Resources Certification
  • No previous human resources experience of comparable experience required – continuing education and seminar training available
  • Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills
  • Some experience with Human Resources software programs.
  • Knowledge of accounting is a bonus

    • Design or manage staff for the design of Roadway projects including horizontal alignment, vertical alignment, drainage design, ditch profile, guardrail calculations and super elevation diagrams

    • Assist in preparing CAD drawings using GEOPAK, INROADS and MICROSTATION software
    • Supervise staff developing construction plans from engineering design calculations.
    • Supervise or perform quantity calculations and cost estimate for projects
    • Supervise/ Design and prepare erosion control plans
    • Supervise/Design and prepare plans for Roundabouts

    Experience Required

    • BSCE and PE License with minimum 8 years of experience in roadway design
    • Licensed PE in Indiana and/or Ohio

    • Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills
    • A valid driver’s license is required

                CAD DESIGNER | INDIANAPOLIS, IN

                Looking for individuals with excellent communication and leadership skills. This position has excellent potential for personal achievement.

                Under some supervision of an engineer or another Designer, a CAD Designer will use Computer Aided Drafting & Design (CADD) software to assist in the development of plans, details, and bills of materials. A CAD Designer will also be utilized for initial layout of basic horizontal and vertical geometry, roadway and structure layout, basic design computations, and quantity calculations. A CAD Designer could help assist, guide, and train CAD Drafters.

                Typical Tasks

                • All of the Typical Tasks of a CAD Drafter
                • Application of client standards for initial layout and calculations
                • Use of design software (InRoads, GEOPAK, or similar) for initial layout and advancement of design plans
                • Assist, guide, and train CAD Drafters

                Core Competencies

                • All of the Core Competencies of a CAD Drafter
                • Ability to communicate with co-workers to assist, guide, and train others
                • Basic knowledge of design software (InRoads, GEOPAK, or similar)

                Experience Required

                • 8+ years relevant work experience as a drafter and/or designer
                • Department of Transportation design experience, specifically roadway & bridge projects
